Hardcore Dance Company is a locally owned business which was established in 199 by Annalise Wood who became the Worlds Best Female Freestyle dancer in 1998 at the World Planet Dance competition. The company has been running successfully since then, starting up in several towns and cities throughout the North Island but has now decided to just concentrate on Whangarei as that is where there passion lies. Annalise and her husband Hayden is now growing the business as well as other teachers that we have on board. Functioning on a workshop basis HCD offers a fun and funky opportunity to learn a wide range of dance

Each year since 2007, crews of North land youth have been selected to train for both entertainment performances and regional, national and international competitions notably Kali Drew and Encore. Having sent teams to four World Championships 3 in the USA and 1 in Netherlands and three Asia Pacific Championships in Australia, North land Hip Hop Dance Inc. Placed 2 Cd at the World Supremacy Battlegrounds Junior Division under 15yrs held in Melbourne, Australia. Placed 3 rd at the Street Dance New Zealand National Hip Hop Dance Championships Auckland. Alongside competition, North land Hip Hop Dance supports and actively participates in local community events and youth focused initiatives.
The dancers are currently between the ages of 9 13 and are based in Whangarei. We choreograph our own dances with a broad range of styles including swag, popping, lock, is, impaired school and others. Annual auditions are held in November December to select members for Kali Drew and Encore crews for the subsequent 12 month period. If you can’t commit to a 6 week course then our concession cards are a immense affordable way to be capable to dance and retain fit we have considerable classes available for you to do. We are elated of the achievements of Kali Drew and Encore over the preceding 4 years as the dancers have developed into role models for other children and youth in their communities.
Placed 1 st at the Street Dance North land Hip Hop Dance Championships Varsity Division aged 13 18. Placed 3 rd at the Street Dance NZ National Hip Hop Dance Championships Auckland. Placed 5 Ch at the FISAF World Championships Junior Division aged 13 16, Eindhoven, October 2010. We are currently looking for more people to reach and unite our hip hop class for people who have disabilities it’s a immense form of exercise and most of all its fun!. They have appeared on Maori Television, performed at the 2008 Children’s Day Festival, 2010 Youth Festival, Waitangi Celebrations, the Ngapuhi Festival 2009, the North land Inferior Schools Sports Awards 2008 and considerable school, gala, charity and other community performances where they make a positive impact on children and youth they interact with.
